The rapid transformations of the modern world, the expansion of new technologies, the growing complexity of social relations, and the intensification of psychological pressures have confronted contemporary human beings with new challenges such as loneliness, mental exhaustion, meaninglessness, and declining motivation. In such a context, hope understood as a foundational psychological construct and a guiding force in the realm of education plays a decisive role in rebuilding the moral and spiritual life of individuals. Therefore, revisiting Qur’anic teachings on hope and examining their educational capacities has become an undeniable necessity for today’s educational and cultural systems. Employing a descriptive–analytical approach, the present study explores the place and educational functions of hope in the Qur’an, showing that this concept is not merely a comforting feeling or a passive expectation of the future. Rather, Qur’anic hope is a multidimensional, active, and transformative force that emerges through faith, knowledge, and trust in divine norms. The findings indicate that such hope can serve as a foundational element in the education of contemporary individuals, as it not only cultivates inner vitality and tranquility but also strengthens resilience in the face of adversity, moral steadfastness, a sense of responsibility, and motivation for constructive social engagement. According to the study, the educational translation of Qur’anic hope can provide the ground for forming a stable, meaningful, and dynamic identity, guiding the individual toward a balanced integration of realism and idealism. Thus, revitalizing Qur’anic teachings on hope and incorporating them into the educational system, family-based programs, and the initiatives of cultural institutions can be an effective strategy for addressing emerging challenges of the modern world and enhancing the quality of Islamic education. Such an approach contributes not only to the strengthening of society’s psychological and moral capital but also to the cultivation of hopeful, active, and meaning-seeking individuals oriented toward personal and social growth.
